Ok, this post perhaps doesn't really suit the name of my website as this trip was a local trip. However, I would really love to share the experience of this short getaway with you guys which I think is quite fascinating :).
The trip I went this time was in Tadom Hill Resort which was located in Banting, around 45min away from Kuala Lumpur only. The reason of me choosing this place as I would want to go for a relax getaway which is not bounded to a packed schedule. Thankfully, it is beyond my expectation.
Hence, I would also highly recommend Tadom Hill Resort to people who look for a chillax and slightly adventurous getaway which doesn't need huge expenses or travel too far.

Besides enjoy swimming in the lake, you can participate in rafting, playing "water ball", Tarzan Jump and board jumping. If you fancy adventurous activities, the latter two are definitely your cups of tea! Although the height is reasonable, it still got my heart beat skipped when I was ready to jump. But, I was glad that I did it as this was my first experience and I just couldn't wait to do more "first" things in the future :D. (P/S: I started to worry how I am going to accomplish my future bucket list which is sky diving if such height also started startling me T.T). I was lucky to witness some skilful people who could even flip when jumping off the board. The scene was just so cool! But, too bad I wasn't able to capture the moment to share with you guys. I have a video of mine for the Tarzan Jump which was shown below! (You may realize I need some time to be mentally prepared to jump off....)
Too bad for the board jumping I wasn't able to capture the historical moment of me jumping down. However, I think it is a good thing too as I can guarantee you will have a belly laugh for seeing my frightened face while walking slowly towards the edge of the board. XD.

I apologised for not being able to capture pictures when I was in lake or rafting as my phone was not water proof. I seriously started to think about investing a GoPro...
Tadom Hill Resort is also a good option for a big group of friends as few bonding activities were provided here which allowed you to chill while having fun. I really loved this concept which having those familiar games that we played during childhood to let friends catch up with each other during the short getaway. All these games would definitely make us reminisce our old times. :)

The another love of this trip is the accommodation which is also my first experience. Basically, there are 4 types of accommodations (sharing or private) which are catered for different genres of people such as backpackers or family. The accommodation we chose this time was garden tent which I think was a mixture of adventurous experience while still having some privacy. One thing that I felt fortunate was I was able to sleep soundly at night without being disturbed by mosquitoes :).

For the food wise, they did have a cafe named Bamboo Hall. However, some reviews of the cafe were not that positive and therefore we chose to bring our own lunch there after the activities. Surprisingly, most of the people did the same too.

For the dinner, we ordered their Barbeque package which costed RM215 for 5 pax . Although there was only 4 of us, their package was just either for 5 pax or 8 pax. The package included food, BBQ pit, charcoal, fans and fire starter. The food provided was otak-otak (Malaysian traditional food), fish, sausages, chicken wings, lambs, fried rice and soft drinks. Surprisingly, the food was quite delicious which exceeded my anticipation. Too bad I did not have any photos during the dinner as all of us were busy eating XD. But, I do suggest to have Barbeque session if you are going with a bunch of friends as I found it enjoyable to barbeque with friends while enjoying the night view of the lake.
If you are observant enough, you will realize 95% of the resort is designed with bamboos and even the name of the sections are related with bamboos which I found it pleasant.

Whenever comes to trip, the main concern of us is mostly the hygiene of the toiler/shower room. Hence, I had a swift peek on them when I reached there which was another surprise for me. I totally saluted with the management of the resort who was able to maintain the cleanliness of the place. I specifically love the design of having a curtain in the shower room which could prevent the water from splashing onto the hanging clothes while bathing.
Speaking of the hospitality, the people there were helpful and effective. They greeted us with the warmest smiles and patiently answered all of our questions. Another thumb up!
Since I emphasized on the low expenses of the trip, I would like to share the breakdown of my experiences during this trip. As you can see from the breakdown, we just spent around RM 126 which is inclusive of everything.
Accommodation: RM 110/tent for 2 paxs (RM55/pax)
Water activities: Free of charge for stay over guests but charged for RM 10/pax if you want to play before check-in time (3pm)
Lunch: Self prepared spaghetti (Around RM 7?)
Dinner (Barbeque package): RM 215/5 paxs (RM54/pax since there are only 4 of us)
Breakfast for the next day: Free of charge
Total: RM126
Lastly, few reminders that I would like to suggest for people who are keen on going:
1. Bring your own lunch as I said above
2. Prepare long pants just in case you are loved by mosquitoes while sleeping
3. Bring mosquitoes repellents for extra protection
4. Bring a lock if you are sleeping in sharing area or tent in order to lock your own belongings
5. Bring small fan as sometimes the ventilation in the accommodation is not that well
So, why would suddenly I go for a trip in the middle of September? It was actually a birthday trip for my boyfriend! You could see a tiny little "sponge cake" in the photo as there was no bakery shop nearby so I decided to "smuggle" this from KL. I initially wanted to bring cupcakes but too bad the bakery shop I went did not sell cupcakes. Although it was a failed surprise, I hoped he was happy for my effort :).
Finally, I would also want to thank this man for constantly encouraging me to push my limit and try new things while playing the Tarzan Jump and board jumping. I probably failed to do it without having him on my back. Despite small matters, I still felt grateful having someone that I could look up to and rely on. :).
